I hear through th egreat vine that our three in house future Iron(wo)man are passing week 12 of 24 of their training with flying colours!!! Excellent to hear!
Also in other news for those that didn't know Christian Meier hailing from Halifax NS has been signed to Garmin Chipolte. This is a pro team that stood up and was noticed at the Tour de France this year. Will we see a local boy riding in the Grand tour soon?

What? What's That You Say?
June 2008
Well I lied. The updates are few and far between but I'll take control and bring in lots of new information. I've recently completed my Level 1 road technical coaching course which gives me the basis to coach. With this knowledge I may, depending on interest put on a small informal, 0 cost to you other then maybe a donation to a charity, clinic discussing some of the more prevailing ideas behind road cycling. This would be a theory based in reality type of clinic to go over some of the more common themes with road cycling. Some topics discussed would be Handling, Pack riding, pace line, cornering, bike position, hand signals, etc. This is only in the preliminary stages and if there is interest it will happen if not things will continue on. If you are interested please feel free to contact me directly.
On the other side...
I'll be posting some articles and other relevant information soon with regards to various aspects of riding, cycling, lifestyle, nutrition, etc.

If you would like to be on our mailing list please send a message to killerb09@hotmail.com and include in the subject line WE DO SPORTS mailing list and in the body include "Add Me" with your full name and desired email address.
I have to apologize for the lack of updates over the last few months and I really have no excuse but things ARE moving along nicely, I believe we have some GREAT logos for the club and even better ideas for clothing. Our sponsor list continues to grow each week and when the list is finalized it will be posted to this very site for everyone to see.
This recent weather has me longing to hop on my roadie and pound out some miles. We are far behind as Halifax has been outside for a month now, and it’s time to play catch up. Stay tuned into our email’s and this site for updates on group rides, runs and swims coming soon!!!
Over the next month or so I’m hoping to also add a calendar within this site to hopefully keep everyone up to speed on festivities each week.
Here’s to watching the snow melt!

Season Race Reports:
Season recap in 20 words or less.
With the oncoming bad weather and snow that will soon fill the air we here at We Do sports would like to take this time to recap our season. As with anything there were ups and downs and even a few sharp turns thrown in there but in the end it was definitely a season to remember. There were some great highlights which would cumulate with the Macdonald’s ITU Long course duathalon world championships held in Richmond VA for 3 of our athletes as well as having our very own Roy Nicholl as team manager. Also to note is having a half Iron woman in the mix; Ellen Foran competed at the Florida world championships with a very impressive finish.
I can’t leave this note without mentioning all our other athletes, Marathon/1/2 marathon runners Jen, Jeff, Nicole, Ally, Tracy, George, Eric and Roy. We all had great seasons and hope that 2008 we’ll be faster, leaner, stronger and meaner.
Up coming events include our year end pot luck supper party and a 2008 schedule of events.
Stay tuned in to find out about training events and Cross country ski outings for the New Year.
Until then,
Happy thoughts and smooth trails
We need YOUR input
Well maybe not we, but I do. I'm looking to set up some Athlete Bios, written by the athletes, or video taped by you, to add to a secondary page to this one. It would be a generic layout with possible photo/video content, write up and maybe a few more action shots if you have them, OR what ever you want. If your think this might appeal to you just send me a note.
Also looking for any other information you feel might appeal to others, it can be anything at all.
Thanks
Jason

I'm here ~
Great job Jason!
Cookie is here too.
Jason: I think you can shut off that annoying word verification if you want to.
Cookie;
I was going to try and do that but then you open the blog up to spam content from bots posting about increasing your manhood...lol
Shannon: I didn't see you swimming at the Y tonight. Are you slacking off already?
I actually survived for 200m. Wahoo!!
OK...let's hear the race reports.
Ellen: Thanks for posting your race report. I'm sure as you say if felt a little weird doing it, but I found it fascinating reading. Maybe you could have a second career as an athlete journalist. :)
